Nic Rodgers biography

Nic Rodgers is the email list manager for the AAP.

At the tender age of 22, Nic's already had considerable experience within the industry. As well as writing for computer magazines and starting a computer support business, Nic spent 2 years as Deputy Technical Director at a NMA Top 3 agency, responsible for the development of numerous high-profile, award-winning websites including Guinness, Johnnie Walker, Müller Dairies, Dunlop Tyres, Huggies and The Countryside Agency.

Nic is an advocate of Web Standards and the inherent accessibility benefits they bring, although feels the "accessibility without compromising creativity" message is said by people without an understanding of design: it is sad that most 'accessible' sites end up looking the same!

"It frustrates me when I repeatedly see claims of 'delivering accessibility without sacrificing creativity'. The majority of accessible websites are far from creative, looking more like a screen from Teletext, and that really needn't be the case."

Nic's now the Head of Technology at Enable Interactive - a Bristol based digital communications agency.
