Steve Green biography

Steve joined the AAP in 2005 to offer his experience of website accessibility testing methodologies.
Having worked on dozens of projects since 2001 it became clear that manual or tools-based testing of the WCAG criteria only indicates how accessible a website should be, not how accessible it actually is. To make more accurate assessments of websites' actual accessibility Steve now works in conjunction with users with a range of disabilities, user agents and assistive technologies.
His interests mostly revolve around live music (rock, metal and goth), playing whenever possible. Being a lifelong supporter of Everton FC has taught him to be eternally optimistic in the face of overwhelming adversity.
Steve is technical director of Test Partners Ltd, a software testing company who offer their accessibility testing services under the First Accessibility brand name. He is also the founder of the Ecademy business network's Accessibility and Usability Club.
